Top 5 Wedding Projects to Leave to the Professionals
Wedding DIYs are a great way to showcase your creativity and personality, but they have their place. This is a list of the most important parts of your big day – things that you should not do yourself. The items on this list become exponentially more important with a larger guest list. So, if you plan on inviting 150 people for a big event, take note.

1. Photography
So your 2nd cousin is a professional photographer with a portfolio full of wedding day images you love, and they really don’t mind being vendor on your wedding day. If that’s not the case, hire a real photographer who fits the bill. Budget for one. Cut the guest list if you have to. The pictures and your memories are the most important things you have left when the event is over. Beautiful photography requires much more than a professional camera. 2. Food
Feed your guests well. They flew in from across the country and bought you that pricey gift from your registry. Don’t feed them aunt Margaret’s potluck. The beautiful salmon entree above was created by Tres LA, one of the most sought after wedding and event caterers in the Los Angeles area.

3. Music
Don’t use an iPod playlist. Seriously. It’s cumbersome, there’s a ton of room for error, and if someone has to stand there all night long babysitting your iPod you better be paying them. In which case, you should just hire a DJ. If you choose the Scarlett Belle for your wedding venue, an experienced DJ comes with your wedding package.

4. Flowers
Making your own arrangements might sound fun, but there are a lot of things to consider. How long will the flowers last? How many will you need to fill your venue and provide your bridal party with bouquets and boutonnieres? How will you keep them fresh and transport them to the venue? Do you know how to trim the flowers and keep them from floating in the vases? There are plenty of affordable floral options. Consider small bouquets of a few large blooms for your bridesmaids and unique, but inexpensive fillers for the table arrangements. A professional florist will be able to guide you through these decisions.

5. Coordination
One of the benefits of choosing an all-inclusive venue like the Scarlett Belle is that you don’t have to lift a finger the day of your wedding. A wedding coordinator comes with the package, so you won’t have to worry about place settings, linens, or playlists. The event team and on-site coordinator will have it all under control leaving you free to sip mimosas and get your nails done with your bridal party.
